CITY ADMIN BUILDING CLOSED

In response to COVID-19 virus outbreak, Mayor Luke Feeney announced Monday that the city of Chillicothe will be closing its City Administration building to the public starting Tuesday March 17, 2020, and it will remain closed until further notice. “We’re taking the guidance from Governor DeWine and ODH Director Acton seriously and are committed to doing everything we can to keep the people of Chillicothe safe and help flatten the curve of this pandemic.”
City employees will continue to report to work and residents and businesses are encouraged to use the telephone, online services, online forms and mail to complete City business. Instructions for interacting with individual departments can be found on the City website at www.chillicotheoh.gov.  In conjunction with the building closing, the Mayor also announced that this week’s Tree Commission, Parks and Recreation Board, Design Review Board and Downtown Development Commission Board meetings are all canceled.
The public is encouraged to take measures to avoid being exposed to the virus including frequent hand washing, avoiding close contact with people, including public gatherings of any size, and taking other social distancing efforts. We also want to reassure the public and business community that City services such as trash pick-up, recycling, water and safety services will continue uninterrupted.
